I have been having a mare of a time was created by jaxw17

I I have been having the run around with ESA. First off I got my renewal through and did not think it was due. Then within 2 days I was asked to go to the DWP for a benefits review. i have done that.
I then got a letter saying that I have been place back in the support group. Two to three weeks later I have now got an appointment for a face to face.
In addition to the conditions that I suffer from that they made the decision on have now started with what the doctor thinks is stage 2 COPD I am having the tests to diagnose this after my F2F. i have also developed a lot more severe problems with my left hand and hip and i am waiting to see someone about this.
Because these appointments are after the F2F i will not have a firm diagnosis. how do i handle this at the F2F. i have numerous other problem as well and I receive PIP at the high rate care and low rate mobility. On this subject if and when i get a firm diagnosis is it worth telling them about the change
i thought everything was going too well. It is as I suspect a lot of others getting me down

If a Decision has been made on your reassessment then there should be no reason for you to have to attend a F2F, in fact the ESA legislation prevents a new reassessment being done within 3 months of a previous Decision.

I would contact the DWP, either you have misunderstood and you were not placed back in the SG, or If you have then they need to cancel the requirement for a new F2F.

If you do have to attend then you need to consider two things, is the ESA50 you completed still a reasonable picture of your limitations and what information will you have available to present at the assessment?

If the ESA50 is OK then all you really need to present is confirmation of the diagnosis.

If the ESA50 is now out of date then you need to think about updating the information to reflect your current problems, in this case a more detailed report will help confirm how you are now affected.

You should be able to present the information at the assessment, ask the assessor to read the new info and include it your file when they return it to the DWP. I would also consider sending a copy directly to the DWP office dealing with your claim, marked for the attention of the Decision Maker.
