Doomed!!!! was created by Dribble
Hi Gordon
I have received dla for many years , higher rate mobility low rate care, and in February this year I was asked to complete the pip claim form . Naively I took this all for granted, unaware of the point scoring system.. However I kept a copy of my responses.
My question. Is , I ticked the box to walk between twenty/fifty metres... as I believed if I put less, they'd think I was exaggerating my conditions, however any walking causes much pain, just had right hip replaced last October ,i was forty seven an now I'm going in any day to do left hip
So basically Gordon, have I shot myself in the foot and how on earth can I now get the full points needed, so I can Keep my mobility car, I've postponed my home visit, and asked for another date as I'm just about to start hydrotherapy , I've been waiting months for this apt, plus I needed to gather in some evidence to submit at assessment as I didn't send any in initially. What do you advise I do for best outcome

Thank you Gordon, so your advise is to raise these points at assessment, when should I raise them with the DM at the Dwp? Before assessment ? So as to ensure they know in advance or after assessment?. Sorry to sound dim, but I'm just worried of doing the wrong thing .also Gordon, I've asked for a new date for home visit, I have to say they were very helpful on that ,when I rang, but they informed me I'd need to submit a doctor's letter requesting it be a home visit , which I've sorted, no probs, however, can the assessment provider still turn me down for a home visit even with a doctor's letter?
Thanks in advance.sorry to keep bombarding you ..

You can send a copy of whatever you prepare for the assessor to the DWP, c/o the Decision Maker at the DWP office dealing with your claim.

I'm afraid they can still turn you down for a home assessment, it will depend on what your conditions are and how your GP explains them in the letter.
