Unfortunately there is no legal requirement for an ESA50 to be issued as part of a reassessment, however, this does not mean that you cannot fill in one your self.

Either write a letter explaining your problems, I would stick to the format of the ESA50 or download a copy of the ESA50 and fill it in.

You can also provide evidence in support of your claim.

Depending on when you have the information available, send it directly to Maximus at the address of your appointment or take it with you to the assessment and give it to the assessor to read and include in your file when they return it to the DWP.

Please make use of our ESA Claim guides to help you do your letter or complete the ESA50.

The criteria for ESA and PIP are very different, even where the benefits overlap there are still fundamental differences which prevent an assessment report for one of the benefits being used to replace the requirement for a face to face for the other.

You can certainly take the report with you but you must identify how it relates to the ESA criteria for it to have any weight with those assessing you.
