Pip assessment was created by Mickylou
Had my pip assessment last month, I was on a indefinite dla award, after assessment I've scored 0 points, I've requested the nurses notes and I've deceived to do a mandatory assessment, am struggling to get some support from our local cereers center. On the first line the last states I did not tell them in my application I was On naproxen medication, I enclosed 3 back copies of medication and the labels of over medications that I use that are not on repeats, she stated there was not naproxen on the February 2017 copy only on the December one. She asked me about driving I said I can drive, manual/automatic I said manual at the moment and we are looking at an automatic, she's not even wrote down or asked about who drives the car, which my hubby drives and uses car for work, he does 99% of driving. She also stated I walked in with my crutch held in my hand, I walked in using my crutch, I broke my other crutch the week before going for my assessment which I stated but this has not been recorded. The little examination she did she states I crouched down I can't even get onto the floor, she's stated I've full power in my arms so I can bend and get into a bath and am able to pull myself up out of bath. She's not stated about husband doing my care rounties regarding hygiene, or that he helps me in the walk in shower we have had put in. Don't no what's best to do know as my dla will stop on the 27th June. If I do an appeal do I not get a reduced rate of dla?

I know it is tempting to find fault with the assessment report but you will only receive an award by showing that you meet the criteria for one, to be clear, I am not saying to ignore the report but understand that dealing with the issues in it is not going to result in an award unless you have first shown that you should score the points for one.

Your request for an MR must be with the DWP no later than one month after the date of the Decision, the PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the PIP area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.

Unless you are in Northern Ireland, you will not receive any payments while you challenge the Decision.

If you more questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
