PIP face to face was created by Joan Richardson
I had my PIP assessment recently at home, the assessor was very nice but I am concerned as she was not supplied with the medical evidence only had 13 records out of 100.More concerning I was accused of not filling in the form as I have only scribbled Q1 & 15. In fact I had word processed using Dragon software Q 2-14. She was not given a copy and would not read the copy answers during the assessment. She apologized for not having these. Due to the complexity of my medical conditions most of the time was taken up on confirming medical issues and not enough on daily living. It lasted 2 hours 15 mins and I was exhausted and am sure I did not relay all the answers as I get confused.I was asked a pretend question which I am sure in law would not hold up. if you left a bag in the house how long would it take you to get it. I would send my husband as I am a wheelchair user and the trauma of getting out of the car would be too much so I woudl not do it anyway. Shea asked me to pretend. She did say I would be ok with the evidence I had and she would be surprised if I was refused, she said if its any reassurance, will wait and see, I hope I can come back and praise her honesty!. I rang DWP to ask what information is passed to Capita and they could not give me an answer. I was not given any feedback or summary as she had to rush off. She told me she was an OT but I cannot find her name on the register not sure about this. I was offered the opportunity to cancel due to missing information but I waited 17 weeks for this appointment so refused. I am a legal academic but I am still sick to my stomach.
