Loosing PIP was created by Marion
Hello I am in receipt of PIP, higher rate DLA and lower rate mobility. Since my reward (2019) my mobility has worsened. I am worried that if I apply for higher rate mobility that DWP could take away my total PIP award before 2019. Would this be allowed to happen. Due to circumstances as they stand at present in UK I am worried that I could loose everything. I suffer from Fibromyalgia and osteoporosis and my condition is not going to get better.
Thank you in anticipation to my question

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I'm afraid that your reporting a change in your conditions will result in a full reassessment of your claim, this will result in a new Decision which can increase, decrease or remove your award.

You say that your conditions have deteriorated, so the first thing you need to do is to look at the PIP Claim guide to see whether it is sufficient for you to score the extra points you need for a higher award. Whilst the DWP require claimants to notify them of an improvement they are less bothered about being told that they have got worse, so there is no value in your notifying them unless you have a reasonable certainty that you would receive a higher award.

If you do decide to tell the DWP, then do it in writing and I would send it by a tracked post as it is important that you can show when you notified them of the change.

Don't forget you will be reassessed a year before your award runs out.
I personally would hang fire until then. But then I'm going through the process of appeal because telling them at my reassessment that my health had got worse seemed to tell them that I had gotten alot better!
Work that one out. I'm fairly sure that if Jesus had visited and performed a miracle I would have somehow remembered the occasion.
