ESA reassessment was created by princess tamina
I applied for ESA in March 2013 at the same time that I was given ill-health retirement from my job. I was put into the support group and haven't heard anything since about a reassessment. I'll be 61 soon - is age a factor in whether you are assessed regularly and is being in receipt of PIP taken into account?

Your age is not a factor in deciding when you should be assessed, we have members who were only months away from State Retirement Age being reassessed for ESA.

A PIP report can help but you must show it's relevance to the ESA criteria, even in the few areas of overlap the actual criteria are different.

Princess Gordon is quite correct. I am 65 in 7 months time and I got a F2F reassessment over 3 weeks ago (still waiting for the out come) my ESA is Contributions Based £28.56p a week as I get War Pensions Unemployability Supplement, but when I received my ESA50 I rang up the DWP and asked them that's its a bit silly cause my ESA stops when I am 65, they told me that as long as you have a "live" claim you will be called for. I can't complain really as it is my first F2F since 2006. All the best with your claims.
