I was on highest rates of DLA then in February I was written to and asked to apply for PIP. Long story short, PIP assessment happened a week or two before my blue badge ran out and then the result came after it. I've told my local council I'm awaiting a response and gave them a letter from DWP that stated my DLA would be ongoing, this despite me knowing I'd already not got the minimum score of 8.
I did this thinking that using this site, I'd be able to get the decision overturned at the mandatory consideration stage.
I've learnt today there has been no change to my award. I really need this blue badge. Can anyone advise what I should do?
I know I need a score of 8. I only got a score of 4. I feel if I ask my council to consider me, they will string me along, ask for several pieces of evidence then I'll waste time gathering evidence but they'll decline my application. I feel so so low right now.

In regard your PIP, your next option is to appeal but this will take many months and you will have no automatic entitlement unless the Decision is revised in your favour.

You can apply directly to your Local Authority, the rules that they operate under are the same as those for DLA. Providing you can show that you meet the criteria then there should be no reason why they should not process your request.
