Appeal rate before tribunal was created by iccsmate
I received the decision from my MR which didn't to give me enough points to continue to receive esa. I now claim jsa. I sent my claim to continue to receive esa to tribunal service. The tribunal service have received and registered my form. Im waiting for my case to be heard.

I have heard I can claim esa at a lower appeal rate until my case has been heard at tribunal.

What do I have to do to claim esa at appeal rate. Do I have to sign off jsa or im i automatically transfered from jsa to esa when the dwp receive my form.

Providing the DWP have received notification of your appeal you can request you are switch onto the ESA Assessment rate while you wait for a hearing. You need to contact the DWP office that was dealing with your ESA claim and make the request, you shouldn't have to close your JSA claim, the DWP will do this for you.

You will need to provide a Fit Note to enable payments and maintain one with DWP until your hearing.

If you are receiving the Disability Premium with your JSA, then be aware that this is not payable with ESA so you will receive less on ESA.
