Pip appeal letter

I sent my written submission and evidence to the HMCTS a few weeks ago. On Saturday I received a letter acknowledging my appeal and a copy of everything I had sent to them.
Today I received another letter from them and am a bit confused about what it means so I will go over briefly what it says.
I should have received a copy of appeal response from DWP. Which I have.
It is important to inform them of any changes to details or if I have changed my mind about appealing or wish to withdraw my appeal.
My appeal will proceed as a PAPER hearing.
They will not be writing to me with a hearing date as I have opted to a paper hearing.
Can you tell me if this is a normal standard letter to paper hearings or could this be a warning that my current award is in danger? I am asking as I have bern told I will be warned if my current award is in danger so I am able to withdraw.

Don't worry it is a standard letter, if there was an issue with your award then they would write to you recommending that you attend an Oral hearing and the important bit, reminding you that the panel can reach any decision including reducing your existing award or even removing it.

Thanks I feel better after reading that. Although is there still time for them to write me a letter like what you mentioned? Or does it seem unlikely now?

I'm afraid such a letter would not be issued until the panel look at your file, this will not happen until, at best the day before you hearing, which of course you will not be informed of.

Ok so if this did happen would the appeal be adjourned until I have responded to the letter warning me?

Yes, the Paper hearing would be adjourned for you make a Decision about whether to continue with the appeal or not.
