I have CFS, fibro, and awful depression. My last attempt to apply for PiP failed (a few years ago) and I hadn't the energy to appeal.

I'm now very anxious about this one, despite having my friend with me who comes in twice a day to deliver meds - have been suicidal so can't be trusted with them, feed me, feed my cats, get me into the bath if I am well enough - which I'm usually not. I am generally a smelly miserable tip who's either in too much pain, or too depressed to care either way.

My friend did quite a lot of the talking for me, but I am (and always have been) a blabbermouth so I am fully aware I will get 0 points on communication because it is the very least of my worries. I said I occasionally use the computer for work - and phone if not too anxious, I'm self-employed but barely earn anything as I'm not well enough to be upright for long enough or too sad to concentrate, but am sure they'll have decided otherwise.

Basically I am just really really frightened because, without these extra bits of help, I can't afford to be alive. I have to take a taxi to the GP half a mile away because I can't walk 50 metres without collapsing the majority of the time. I cancel appointments that I need because I can't afford to get there.

I also said that (with help of friends) that I am moving house to somewhere more suitable- ground floor, one bedroom, walk-in shower, etc. Currently in 3 storey house and stuck living on one floor, alone. Family left so just me now. I can't even get to the bathroom as much as I would like. She asked me about how many bedrooms. I don't get why. Am I about to get judged on moving house as well?

My friend and I looked at the points allocation, and by their reckoning I should be getting high rate of daily and mobility but I think we all know I'll get a brown envelope giving me fewer points than Norway at Eurovision.

Not really got any questions here, just completely in a state about what happens next. My anxiety is through the roof.

PIP Decisions are currently taking about 2-4 weeks. You can request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office that is dealing with your claim.

We've seen members report the worst possible assessment only to receive the highest award, so even though you feel it did not go well it does not mean that you will not receive an award and if is as bad as you expect, then we can help you through the appeal process this time.

I am utterly shocked. I just got awarded enhanced daily living and mobility! I have no words.

I had to call them yesterday as I'm moving house tomorrow, and she said they'd just sent the letter out so the details weren't on her system so to call this morning. Just did that and almost fainted. What an unexpected outcome.

It's thanks to this site that I got the awards. Thank you to all who put the information together, and everyone on the forum whose posts I've read to gain extra knowledge.

Hi, I have only just found your post so, sorry, for the late reply.
Firstly, you need to contact social services for a care needs assessment. You may be entitled to a care package for daily carers to come in and help you. with everything. SS should pay for this.
You would have been asked about bedrooms. Due to the Bedroom tax. At the moment, you should be paying for 2 spare rooms. There are, however, many appeal reasons. Firstly, you would be entitled to a room, for an overnight carer when needed. This one is an easy appeal. Once, you had that exemption, then you would have a need for a 2 bedroom property, if you wanted to move. There are other reasons of appeal, on your other spare room, where you are now. Have you not been in touch, with an OT for adaptations? Like a walk in shower and a stair lift etc., etc. Are you HA or council?
