Age UK advocate has contacted DWP/ESA dept to discuss my inability to cope with 3 barbaric assessments within 12 months. Not very helpful & refused to let her speak to a manager. Eventually conceeded that as my file is marked vulnerable & additional support required they would use existing medical information to do assessment without filling in ESA50.
This all sounds very dodgy to me.I thought the PIP file was marked not the ESA file as well?

Sadly I simply cannot do anymore without further self harm & suicide. I have no medical support available to get me through this due to GP shortages. I had hoped they would look at the PIP decision & medical evidence as there is sufficient overlap.
Is the best I can hope for is being put in support group for 1 year again?

I have learned that as well as ability to attend GP appointments & travel to hospital being held against you; being able to fill in the ESA50 form yourself is being interpreted as ability to undertake work related activity. (Even if it takes 5 times longer, makes your condition worse & you make silly mistakes & simply couldn't do it repeatedly).

Strongly suggest you get someone to' help' you fill in forms, even if a family member or carer, even if you do the research from the guides.
If there was a genuine wish to help you do a little work or volunteering or even get well enough to benefit from counselling any fool could see terrorising disabled & sick people isn't the way to do it. What a disgraceful waste of money: these assessments aren't fit for purpose. Is the Welfare Reform Act simply a licence for DWP to act like thugs?

They may well contact your GP and any other help professional that they have contact information for, do you feel able to update them on your current health problems as it will undoubtedly help with your claim.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Gordon. Unfortunately my GP is on long term sick leave & no locum. Maybe there's some hope: you'd said there were long delays doing ESA assessments at the moment. GP provided very detailed medical evidence for PIP in December ( which I paid for) & ATOS also phoned him up. My counsellor seems to be having personal problems.
Do you advise getting advocate to briefly fill in form(tiny boxes) for me by the due date & forwarding evidence later? Shes agreed to act as appointee. It caused me great distress to even find the PIP decision letter & doctors letter. This is all agony for me.

Sending in a form does have the advantage that they will be looking at up to date information, especially if your GP is not available, but can you do this without making your health worse? You have won an important concession in the DWP reviewing you on the information that they already have and the fact that they have done this is evidence that you are still badly affected by your conditions.

Dear Gordon,
Sorry still so terrified & hysterical about ESA reassessment. My GP is off sick, no replacement.
Age UK lady has contacted DWP :" I don't have to fill in form, they will make a decision on evidence they already have."
I'mso terrified that this is a trick, they have never been anything else but barbaric esp over PIP1 phone call that made me so ill.
I'm so afraid they will contact surgery for E113 which if it is filled in at all would be by dodgy GP who doesn't know me & in a rush as they are very short staffed: I can't even get through on the phone.
Would it help to I send off my existing medical evidence to ESA. I'm confused about the address to post it to?
Is it ESA Preston or ESA Oldham? It all seems to go to Wolverhampton anyway.
Thank you
Susie
