SSC1 was created by fadge
Hi,
Mandatory reconsideration has brought about no change in decision, so it's looking like completing an SSC1 is in order. Have had a quick look and am wondering whether you have any guidance as to what to think about in advance of seeing someone from the CAB / WR to complete it, especially with not having attended a tribunal before. Especially, what might a appellant who has fluctuating symptoms put, if they would like to attend but might not be able to get there on the day, or gets there but has to leave part way through?
Thanks.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You don't have to provide detailed reasons with the SSCS1 just why you are appealing the Decision, once your appeal is accepted then you can create a more detailed submission.
Tribunals make awards because the claimant has shown that they meet the criteria for, so you need to concentrate on showing that this is the case.

Thanks. There used to be a benchbook for the people sitting on the tribunal. Is there anything similar these days?

The current version of the bench book is no longer in the public domain but we have an older version in both the ESA and PIP sections.
