ESA - can you still get it without a f2f?

Hi

It's several years since i last had a WCA. Last time it was before Atos walked out of the assessments and I got it on paper because they were hugely behind at that time. I got support for a home visit but didn't have one. I did have to have a home visit for my PIP last year. I am in the ESA SG and also get PIP both components.

Also how do I get the online version of the ESA50 and do they allow enough space for answers? My brother said he couldn't change size of boxes though this was back in 2013. They don't tell you how to do this but I know people do do it.

Thanks

You will need the support of your GP for a home assessment, they need to explain to Maximus why you would be unable to attend at their offices.

You can download the ESA50 from the following link

www.gov.uk/government/publications/capab...r-work-questionnaire

The space is limited but you can attach further sheets prepared on your computer.

Hi - thanks Gordon. Yes my GP has always supported me for a Home Visit as she did for PIP. But last time I didn't even need one, I got my ESA from a paper assessment. Are they still doing paper assessments>

I downloaded the PDF and it looks as if you can carry on pressing return until you have finished but don't know if that continues to infinity!

In my experience, yes. If they send you an appointment for one you may like to tell the DWP you don't think one is necessary and why. In my case we felt that the DWP already had enough information to make a decision.
