Hi Dribble,
Ive not been at this centre but a bit of advice i would give you as there is a lift in the building ask when you give your ID over what is the fire evacuation plan as due to your limited mobility you would be unable to evacuate the building on your own as the lift would not be operational.
Good luck I'm currently awaiting the result of my f2f.
Regards x

Hi Drible
From lift to reception is about 7 or 8 metres you can then sit down, then from reception to the room I went to was approximately another 8 or 9 metres.
The only contact I had with my assessor was to sqeeze her two fingers with my hands and to sqeeze her 1 finger with my thumb and 1st finger, then I was asked to lift my head up then down on to my chest, then cross my arms on my chest, then standing put both hands behind me, then if I could stand on 1 leg, then asked if I could go up on my toes, then asked how far I could bend as if to touch my toes and then finally ask if I could squat down and then stand up again and that was it for the phyical for me, but I would assume every1's is different depending on what type of condition you have, so please don't take what I said will be the same for you. good luck
Regards

Hi Dribble
Thx it was a nickname I picked up when I was working lol just stuck with me.
Yes there is a couch but I never had to go on it which I was surprised about because I was expecting to, it was however about seat hight not like the crafty sods at the ESA where you were expected to climb on a box to get onto it.
she told me her name and what she did at the begining before we started. I was a bag of nerves myself I hate anything like that my heart pounds 10 to the dozen, but Once you get started everything became relaxed, the questions for me were basically everything on the form that I had already filled in at the application stage and she asked if I would be having anymore surgery and that was about it.
All I can say really is to read what answers you put on your application because you won't remember everything word for word, your expected to answer the questions again but they go through it quickly where as it took me about 2 weeks to fill my form in because I did so much then was reading the help on here then going back to it. but your expected to go through the lot in 45 minutes with them, so just keep revising your answers and if necessary slow the interview down to your pace don't quick fire your answers like they do the questions just take your time, might take a bit longer than 45 mins but will be worth it for you to take control and not them.

You're welcome Dribble. It wasn't far from the lift to reception area where you sit & wait for someone to come & fetch you. Then when they did we were in the first room that we came to. I'd say the longest walk was from the taxi to reception for us, even then you can sit down & rest before going to the lift. I would just tell them everything in great detail, I also took a few letters from various to back up the claims. Our woman was a nurse & seemed to do much typing & study the letters very carefully. She was thorough. Although she only got my partner to do a few basic physical activities & said she wouldn't ask him to get on the couch as she knew he couldn't.
