Worried about new form. was created by billhan
Hi,

Received as ESA50 form that is a bit different to the one I filled
in three years ago. ESA50 04/17 is its title.

I am worried that on the question of medical reports it says "Don't ask
or pay for new information". "Only send copies if you already have them".

Most of the written reports I have are four years old or older.

Are they setting us up to fail by not including up to date information?

Will it all be down to what is on the form they send to my GP? The ESA 113 isn't
it? This is another worry, will they send my GP a new ESA 113 or just
use the one from three years ago? If so the SAR you kindly
showed me how get showed that my GP only put down
one of the three medical conditions that I have (just four words)
A friend says his GP was not even sent the ESA113.
Will they send a new ESA 113 to my GP?
Am I right to be worried this is trending to just being judged
on a single F2F?

Hi Billhan,

We still recommend that claimants send in any and all supporting documents that you want the assessor/DWP to see.

The claimant's GP is only contacted in around 25% of cases.

Thank you very much for this information.

Confused why they would not contact GP in 100% of cases.

On a point of information my ESA50 was received exactly three years
after the last one on my three year award. No two year deferment here!

The more disturbing statistic is that when they do contact the GP, they only get a reply in about 25% of cases and more often than not the GPs answer *yes", "no" and "I don't know"!

I am even more shocked to hear this.

Looking at my 2014 ESA113 my GP just wrote four words...."he has.." followed by the
name of my condition, filling in none of the boxes.

More and more difficult to get a fair assessment!
