Read about claimants having to return mobility cars awaiting appeals....we have our own car with free tax and blue badge ...currently awaiting medical home visit as Atos ignored our home medical request and sent apptment in Blackburn when there is a centre in our own town of Bolton After ringing DWP seeing gp for a back up letter to support request.Just thinking ahead if claim refused would we have to change tax class and tax the car while appeal process goes on?
As far as we are aware the vehicle classification and discount is dependant on there being a current qualifying award in place, if there isn't one then the vehicle needs to be reclassified.
Unfortunately there appears to be little information on this at the DVLA and members who have gone through this have received different information from them.
