Hi,

I put in my PIP form a couple of months ago.

ATOS left a message on my mobile phone yesterday - did I want a cancellation and to ring them.

I don't want the stress of rushing to a cancellation. I need to be able to plan it healthwise and I would like them to send me a proper advance appointment.

Would you advise me to ring them to tell them this? Or just wait for an appointment to come through the post?

Thank you.

You are legally entitled to seven days written notice, although this includes postage time, you do not need to accept a short notice assessment unless you want to and you do not need to contact ATOS about their phone call.

Brilliant, thank you. I really don't want to be rushed and stressed into something I can't manage. They seem to be very keen on cancellations, as I was offered one the other day when I rang them to see if they had received my application for PIP and I already told them then I don't want to be offered cancellations.

I will just wait for the brown envelope in due course. Though I suspect it may be coming soon if I am on their radar.
