PIP home visit was created by scarfell
Hi
I have a home visit arranged for next week on mental health grounds for my PIP claim. I have recently been awarded ESA support group paper based.
However I have been ill over this and believe my mental health has deteriorated since given this app.l have not left my house for months and it causes me chronic distress the thought of interacting with others other than close family.
I cannot go through with this interview and will be informing atos on Monday giving my reasons.
My question is will they just decline my claim? Even if they do that will be better for me than facing an interview.
Regards
Chez

I'm afraid it's almost certain that they will close your claim, although the DWP should contact you first to find out your reasons.

Have you consider involving your MP?

Contacting your MP

They may be able to persuade the Assessment Provider to do a Paper Based Review.
