TOPIC: My time DLA to PIP.

My time DLA to PIP. 2 months 3 weeks ago #194692

I really do feel for you about the stress this is all causing you, I too suffer from serious mental health issues and have recently received the dreaded DLA to PIP letter. You're right, it is a battle and can make our illnesses a lot worse. It's inhuman what they are making us do. Hopefully the stress they've caused you is all behind you now and you'll get the result you deserve.

Ok everyone I’ve hade the form for PIP now sent it back 31st July they received it on the 2nd August with plenty of medical evidence and they still wanted me to have a home assessment on the 28th September.

I had to see my psychiatrist on the 20th September and he was running late I completely broke Down in the waiting room I then received help from a senior head Nurse in that department of mental health I then explained and showed her the Capita appointment and all my medical paperwork she said what the hell are my calling you in for this ain’t right . She got onto Capita and told them what the hell is this gentleman going through this for she said oh Capita we know about them she then phoned them and explained fullly my situation and managed to get the assessment cancelled and now Capita have all the paperwork on the system sent me a home visit before they’ve even read it all medical evidence?

The senior nurse phone me with the news below.

And now the Capita manager has put a warning on the computer to leave me alone and I won’t be contacted again. Is this a good sign as the senior nurse sorted it all and explained my full situation.

I was practically at my wits end I did get to see my psychiatrist I’m the end.

It's probably a good thing although I am unclear as to what is happening with regard to an assessment, are you still having a home one?

Gordon, thanks for the reply... I’m Not having to have a home visit now or assessment centre one either?. My medical team spoke with Capita manager as the above info. Does this help or not it’s all to much. They have all my medical paperwork on the screen.

Thanks

Gordon?... sorry if o diden’t explain this properly.

The home assessment has been cancelled altother as Capita manager has told my medical team.
So No assessment at home or anywhere. Hope this makes more sense. Is it a good or bad thing. Thanks.

Ok Gordon thanks for the repl and advice, how long would you reckon it will take on a Paperbased decision. My medical team give them what for that’s why it was changed and no assessments. Thanks
