Recently received esa50 for reassessment. I have few issues I would like some advice on. I have chronic fatigue and mental health issues.

problem is I am doing more now. I can walk (slowly) to my supermarket (400m) and do some shopping and return although I have frequent rest stops. But I'm in no way able to return to work. This leaves me completely exhausted.

Having trouble writing answers for the form. My health has seriously deteriorated. I've read some people have sent in a long statement and avoided face to face assessment but that is proving difficult.

Haven't approached my gp yet, think it's going to be difficult.

I'm not on any meds due to other issues. Any advice on this.

Thanks for any advice, I would really like to avoid another tribunal.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

Forgive me but I am confused by your post, you say "I am doing more now" which I assume is relative to how you were when last assessed but then go onto say that your health has "seriously deteriorated"

Awards for ESA are made because the claimant shows that they meet the criteria for one, so all I can recommend based on the information that you have provided is for you to go through our ESA Claim guides to help you explain your problems with completing each of the ESA activities.

Do you know how you qualified the last time and are those reasons still applicable to your health as it now is?

Prior to receiving the esa50 for reassessment I was doing more. I've walking and doing some shopping. But since receiving the form I've gone back down again, ie after only a few weeks I can hardly get out again. Last time I received points for walking and coping with change. This time I'm hoping to get it under exceptional circumstances

This is a risky strategy, the DWP have tightened up on the guidance to assessors in this area and there are significantly fewer awards being made through this route, but if it is the only criteria that you feel that you currently meet then it may be your only choice.

Have a good read of the ESA Claims due to Mental Health problems as it covers Substantial Risk in more detail than the Physical guide.
