Esa assessment with someone with you was created by Steven
Hi. I have my assessment in a few weeks. I have always had them at home and had someone let them in but spoke to them on my own.
I need help out of the house and will be taking my mum with me , my question is I know going to the assessment on your own would be seen as a huge negative, Is it seen against you if you are pushed into the room but left alone to do the talking part? Or do you need them to come in and sit in the room with you? When I go to the docs ect i get taken there but always liked the privacy. But i don't know if that's seen against you in this situation?
I just don't know what's best or used against you?
Thank you.

It depends on what your conditions allow you to do, if you are able to see your doctor on your own then the reasons that allow this may also apply to your seeing the assessor on your own, the thing to be aware of is that that may make assumptions if you don't explain so make sure that you do this, perhaps at the beginning of the interview.
