PIP claim for my autistic daughter was created by Joy
I am attempting to claim PIP for my autistic daughter who is unable to fill in the form herself.
I have a certificate confirming I am her appointee.
When I fill it in,
1) do I write as if I was her? i.e.. I cannot do......
2) or as if I a writing for her in the third person i.e.. she cannot do.........
Do I sign it, or her?
Thanks!

Hi Joy and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
As you are the appointee, I would say to complete the form using the third person ('she cannot do' rather than 'I cannot do'). You should make it clear that you have done this so that unrealistic conclusions are not drawn from the way the form is completed.
Don't forget to make full use of our PIP guide.
May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your daughter's PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too

i did the same for my daughter, and i filled it in as 'she' cannot do or used her name, then made a clear declaration at the end and signed it that i had filled in the form for her
