My autistic child has a f2f interview soon. Already I have been lied to stating they have contacted the 3 I gave details on and they haven't they stated that to me that was over 2 weeks. I know as GP rang to give details on mental health support as 16 and in libo age for support services. Anxiety and sleep is awful at moment so rang specialist dr for advise who then wrote to gp for input. Rang specialist dr and they too haven't been contacted.

Do I ring and ask why others not consulted when they have stated they have and then a week later have arranged a f2f home visit or do I leave it. GP was disgusted with them.

Have organised an advocate as can't deal with this byself. I am also the allocated appointee.

If you want a home assessment then you will need your GP to specifically state in a letter to the Assessment Provider why they cannot attend at their offices. If this has already been done in the information that you attached to the forum then contact the AP when you receive notification of the appointment if it is not a home one.

They may wish to cancel the current appointment resist them doing this until they have had sight of the GP letter, you can only rearrange the appointment once and you may need a new appointment to be at a date and time suitable for you, if they book it then the will just choose the next available slot.

AS to the GP letters, it's possible that the requests are still in the post but you should be aware that there is no legal requirement for them to contact your medical contacts and they usually don't.

We have a f2f home assessment arranged. The issue I have is they say they can't do a paper review as got all information when they haven't. As appointee am I allowed to answer or are they expecting a 16 year who was on HRC and LRM DLA to answer when they have a lack of insight to issues. The other issue is anxiety and sleeping totally gone to pots and wrong age for mental health input so in libo

To do a paper based review, the Assessment Provider needs to be confident that they have sufficient information, this includes an understanding of any variability in child's conditions. At the moment they do not believe this to be the case.

You can try providing more information, give them a call to try an understand where the current information is deficient. You can also try involving your MP, they can sometimes make a difference.
