PIP TIMESCALE AND RESULT

I have been in receipt of DLA Higher Rate Mobility since 1979 (originally called Mobility Allowance) and DLA Lower Rate Care since 1992 having had face-to-face assessments in 1979, 1980 and 1981. I was asked to apply for PIP in December 2016. I sent in my PIP2 Form on 2nd January 2017, had my face-to-face assessment (at home although did not request this) on 5th July 2017 and received the Decision Letter (dated 27th July 2017) yesterday. I have been awarded Standard Daily Living and Enhanced Mobility until 2027. Obviously I am delighted with the result but wish I was not disabled and was not eligible to clam the benefit - I would rather be fit! After the assessment, the assessor did indicate that she would recommend an on-going award as my condition will not get any better, but she did not indicate what award that would be.
