I recently had face to face interview. My partner asked the assessor what their profession was prior to becoming an assessor to get an understanding to see if they would have any knowledge on my conditions. On finding out they was previously a nurse I felt more at ease. I must say the questions they asked were very similar to the form filled in. Just directed slightly different, with adding things in like how does this affect you or in what way? Also asked if I had any interests or hobbies, unfortunately my hobbies are no longer suitable & I gave reasons to back this up. I too was very anxious over this assessment & although I don't envy people going through these, I can understand that the system needs to filter out some that are claiming unfairly. As long as you are honest in your answers & give them examples of how it affects you, then I hope the assessor is fair & honest in their report. I got enhanced for 4 years & a review after 3. I hope in 3 years that I don't have to go through this assessment again & is just asking if anything has changed. My conditions won't change for the better unfortunately only deteriorate. I don't understand how some are getting longer periods than others when conditions like mine, see no improvement.
Good luck in your assessment, keep positive & stand your ground!!
