Recording pip face to face consultations was created by walls14@btinternet.com
Hello,
Can anyone clear this up for me, the benefits and work guide to claiming pip states on page 15 that it is not possible to record pip consultations, unlike esa. However, the atos FAQ page says you can. This is providing the health worker, ( to use the word "professional " for these people sticks in my throat ) agrees and you can make 2 copies. I've followed the pip guide religiously for a recent claim for a learning disabled relative.
Thank you Sara Bartholomew

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
I think you may have misread the guide
The two Assessment Providers for PIP, ATOS (now IAS) and Capita, do not provide recording facilities for assessments, unlike Maximus which does for ESA, however, it is perfectly possible tor a claimants to record their own assessment providing they meet the requirements for doing so,
These are;
- they have received permission to do so
- they are able to make two simultaneous recordings to tape or CD
- the equipment does not make a digital recording.
