PIP review advice on therapy please was created by norman21
Hi

just received the dreaded pip review form :( so freaking out

only got standard after a fight 2 years ago so want to be as prepared as possible to at least keep what i have in each category

i have read all your notes - thank you- i have got lots of medical evidence ready as well and think i am prepared to tackle the form apart from one category which seems different from last time - medications and therapy ( getting the one point last time didn't make much difference overall )

If i have read it right they now separate medication and monitoring as one point but if you can show therapy needs you could potentially get 2 points

i have asthma physio exercises, pacing advice and anti spasm exercises for pain and have also been given breathing exercises for anxiety due to not being able to take medications for depression from heart issues

is this the kind of thing that could put maybe get me up to 2 points for this category if i include details on and as much evidence as possible and if i show how i need help - so i assume you have to show how the therapy is essential ?

thanks you for any advice as always

There are also changes to Descriptor (c), (d) and (f) of the Going Out activity.

Yes these sound like therapy, you will need to cover off the following issues;

- The therapy is prescribed or recommended. Explain the problems you would have if it was not done.

- You require prompting, assistance or supervision from someone else to carry out the therapy. Explain why you need the help, there will be an expectation that you cannot do the therapy without this.

- The time that the help is actually required for, this is not necessarily the time that the therapy takes.
