Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
I am sorry that this is causing you so much anxiety
Our PIP guide explains what to expect at a face2face assessment. Knowing what to expect might help allay some of your fears. A home visit be essentially the same as any other assessment.
You do not need to make any special arrangements for the visit. Indeed, you don't even have to get up and dressed if you would not usually. We do recommend having someone with you for the visit if that is possible.
The assessor no more rights than any other visitor to your home. They do not have the right to 'snoop' around your home - nor have we heard of anyone asking to do so.
Finally, you should be warned that the assessor could turn up on time, early, late or not at all!
May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too
