Pip mandatory reconsideration

Pip mandatory reconsideration was created by Gooby
Hi I sent in my pip mandatory reconsideration about a month ago. I also sent in another supporting letter along with a letter I wrote showing where I think they should have scored me differently and the reason why. I telephoned to check and was told nothing to report as of yet but as I sent in new evidence and as dip are not medically trained they will need to send back to health professional. Is this what happens when you have a mandatory reconsideration?

Well I have a heart condition which effects my daily living and mobility. I also put on my pip application that I suffer extreme anxiety which means I am unable to go anywhere with another person. I was only awarded standard care but no mobility. They said I only scored 4 points for limited walking and as I was not in therapy or on medication for anxiety then that was dismissed. My MR new evidence was another letter from gp saying my mobility was extremely compromised and I became breathless on minimal activity along with I have in past been on medication and confirming I do not as unable to go anywhere without another person. Apparently ATOS don't have to rush yo send back response as no timescale.

One of the problems with your arguments for the Mobility is that you are trying to show restriction for the Going Out activity through limitations that can only be considered as part of the Moving Around activity.
The Going Out activity looks at three things.
Planning a route - this is primarily a cognitive or sensory (e.g. blindness) activity. You are being asked about the problems you would have with working out how to get from one place to another, you do not need to be able to follow the route that you are planning..
Undertaking a Journey - this is do with mental health issues such as agoraphobia and social anxiety and is concerned with you leaving the house to go somewhere, they will be interested in the things that stop you doing this. You need to show that you would suffer "overwhelming psychological distress" to meet the criteria.
Following a route - the DWP regard this as a cognitive or sensory activity to do with navigating the route, SO are there problems that would prevent you from doing this? This is different from undertaking a journey, in fact if you cannot undertake a journey then you will struggle to score points for following one. The reasons that you are unable to follow or navigate the route must not be due to psychological distress.

Undertaking a journey, I am unable to go out without someone as a support as it would cause me overwhelming psychological distress. So I don't go anywhere without support person and have had to limit places I go. Only go where really have to go.

From your previous post the DWP have not awarded points because you are not receiving any treatment or medication for anxiety, you then go on to say;
The fact that you used to receive medication is of no value if it is not prescribed now.
You are providing conflicting arguments none of which directly address the requirements of the Going Out Descriptors. If you want to score the points then you need to provide evidence that is consistent with the activity.
