ESA short term memory was created by Robert
I’m trying to put together a submission for a Tribunal one of the problems I have is short term memory I feel it would not help me in the work place. The problem is I’m not sure what activity it would come under or the descriptor in that it would be. On the ESA50 I entered

14. Coping with changes

Can you cope with small changes
to your routine if they are
unexpected? I ticked It varies

I entered in the box

My memory is very poor this can make it difficult at times to get things done Like finding keys that I have put down just minutes before or anything for that matter. Sometimes I might put something in the fridge that should be put in a cupboard and vice versa I have to write everything down if I go out as would have forgot what I was going out for. I also have to check things over and over like if I have switched the cooker off

As I scored nil points for this I’m not sure if I put it in the right place. The HCP did that not test my memory at the med as I have had this done before and you are asked a lot of questions and takes it about two hrs.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I would have thought that Starting and Finishing Tasks was a better fit but Learning How To Do tasks might also apply as well as the Coping With Changes, your problems is none of the ESA activities specifically deal with memory so you are going to have to explain your problems in terms that match the Descriptors that you think most closely apply.
