Pip appeal bundle was created by Mandy
Hi, I have received my pip appeal bundle. Not sure what to do. Have only put in generic statements like "not enough weight on medical evidence" for grounds of appeal as due to cognitive impairments and memory loss I cannot physically go through the dwp assessment and link things to medical evidence or construct arguments. I have tried and it's resulted in a rate of two sentences of gibberish for three hours of crying. There are just so many things in there I cannot understand. How am I to explain things to the tribunal? I am able to mark down things I know are incorrect like the dwp appeal response talked about me driving but I can't drive and haven't driven for years since my head injury as I'm too dangerous on the road. Would tribunal be ok if I managed to have simple bullets like "Dwp said I have ability to drive. I cannot drive" ?
If I work from my bed for a few weeks I might be able to get through the bundle and come up with a page of bullets like that.

Have you tried to get help? Do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county, also try any charities that specialise in your conditions, also MIND may be able to help.

If you have to do it yourself then don't try and do it all at once. :)

Start with one of the activities that you expect to score points for an write down some bullet points as to why you meet the criteria. Then do another activity, if you need to take a break of several hours or even a day between each activity then do so.

Once you have gone through all of the activities go back to the first one and compare the bullet points to what you write on your original claim form and the comments from the assessor/DM. If you think that your original statements cover everything then you don't need to say any more. If they don't then expand your bullet points into a sentence or two. Do this for each activity taking breaks as you need.

Then go back through what you have written for a third and last time. This time try and expand your sentences into paragraphs and try an link what you are saying back to the evidence that you have already provided.

Lastly tidy it all up. Number each paragraph so they can easily be found and make sure that each page has your full name, National Insurance Number and the Tribunal reference and you should have a submission that you can send to the TS.
