Did you complete an ESA50?
Although all the Assessment Providers operate similar rules for home assessments, there can be differences for a number of reasons. The primary reasons for a home assessment versus one at the AP's offices is down to whether they feel you can manage the journey of not, clearly they do at the moment.
You may be able to get it changed if your GP is willing to write a letter explaining why you cannot attend at their offices.
The ESA Claim guides have a section at the back that covers the assessment process and the questions you are likely to be asked.

ESA claims are reassessed on a regular basis, anywhere from three months to three years for the Support Group.
