Permitted Work

Are there any up to date resources available for Permitted Work, please?

I am in the Support Group, and receive the enhanced personal care element of PIP. My condition is unlikely to improve. I am fed with TPN (most of my nutrition goes through a port in my chest).

I've been managing the social media page of a not for profit type of organisation recently - it isn't low profile, but nothing I do conflicts with the reasons I have been awarded PIP and ESA SG. I'm enjoying it and would like to do more.

Last time I looked, it seemed I could do a certain number of hours, but it was certainly better to ask permission rather than forgiveness. But I can't find anything now.

Is there any guidance, or somewhere I can find a copy of the rules?

Thanks for that. Do you know anywhere I can find what constitutes permitted work, and what isn't? Realistically, currently my activities it could easily be called a "hobby" - it's a small political organisation. There's a small possibility of running as a local councillor in the future, we've already got a couple, and I've been told that might actually be OK, but I can't really find anything concrete.

I think it is really down to the discretion of the individual DM.
