Hello everyone, sorry to trouble you and not sure if this is something I should be bringing to the forum? Excuse my inexperience! Already my anxiety levels are rising as I type :(

I have received my ESA50 form and each year I fill it out I have to ask for a mandatory reassessment and even after that gets turned down I have it reversed at tribunal. I have fibromyalgia and a further list the length of my arm of physical and mental health conditions. I can elaborate if you need them but anyway I joined this site to use the guides to perhaps save all the added stress that exacerbates my condition?

My problem lies in how to describe the fact that after volunteering in a mental health environment to challenge me, suggested by my cpn, and to aid in my recovery I was given an 8 hour post at the university after a year and the staff their are supporting me to work towards a 16 hour part time post in the future.

Any suggestions how to do this or other forum topics I should read in the hope of finding the assistance I need?

Thanks in advance for your help x

Shari

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

Your first step should be to have a really good read of our ESA guide. This explains the criteria against which you are being assessed and suggests ways of wording your replies to reflect the language DWP will use.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa1

You are right to think about your Permitted Work as conclusions will be drawn from the fact that you are undertaking this.( I assume that this has been reported to and agreed by DWP?) You should think about how you manage this, especially if doing so is contrary to the claims you are making on your ESA50 form.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your ESA without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)
