Block capitals black ink was created by Chrissy
Hi
I got my Cpn to filly form out but forgot to ask her to fill it in with block capitals and black ink.
I gave her a photo copy practice form filled out in red pen in lower case.
Is it really such a problem if form not filled out in block capitals?
I thought that if cpn doesn't use block capitals then I could transfer her words to the PDF form online but then that gives maximus an excuse to think I can sit at a keyboard and type for a long time. Cpn won't have much time when she drops form off tomorrow, and pdf won't show that she filled it out.
My question is, what if the form is not filled out in black block capitals, as cpn not experienced with filling form and only completing the mental illness section.
Many thanks

You never know they may have read the instruction to use block capitals, but if they have not then there are two issues you need to consider, is it legible and is it scannable? If it is then don't worry about it, if it isn't then you may need to consider transcribing it.

Hi Gordon
Thanks for your reply, sorry I have more questions
1) By transcrbing it, do you mean printing a pdf form off and writing it out myself?
2) I cannot manage to get a colour printed form from my printer, it always comes out in black and white with the printed bit missing, is that a problem?
3) Can I put the original form, if in lower case, by my CPN, in with the transcribed form (if I have understood it right)
4) Does the printed form have to be pink?
5) By scannnable do you mean in black ink?
Sorry for all the questions. I just forgot to tell my CPN about block caps and black ink and she is not very well clued up on benefits system.

1. You can either send the form as is with the CPN's comments typed up as separate pages or you can print off a new ESA50 and either fill in the form on your computer (subject to the boxes being big enough), put the information in separate pages and attach them to the form, or hand write it into the form.

2. Black and white is fine.

3. Yes

4. No

5. Not necessarily, but some colours such as red or orange do not scan well.

Sorry another question. My cpn has been. She filled form in blue ink but as i emailed her yesterday she photocopied it so it is in black and white.
She said to send the photocopy in.
She had to amend two answers on the form because they were out of date/inaccurate
1)Is it ok to send in the photocopy with the amended answers on?
2)She said verbally im not fit for work related activity but only put on the form "unfit for paid or unpaid work" and has not specified any risks that would stop me doing work related activity. Does this mean I am likely to be put in WRAG group?
thanks and sorry for etra quaestions
