Hi Everyone,

Just to update our story, The brown envelope arrived.

Hubby has been awarded PIP Enhanced Rate for both Care and Mobility until October 2020. (he was previously on DLA Low mobility and Middle care).

We are so happy, it has been a bit of a struggle which i have mentioned in earlier post's, but it was a paper based review, after a bit of a fight, all i can advise is;

Read and Stick to the PIP guides on this fabulous site

Be honest when completing the form, and as in our case when the HCP rang me regarding a few questions re hubby's health conditions and how they affect him

Send as much evidence as you can

I would like to say a massive thank you to Gordon and Mrs HB, without the support of them i am not sure we would have got through it. you are amazing.

One question, he is due DLA payment on 5 December, On the PIP award it then states he will receive first PIP payment on 8 January and thereafter every 4 weeks, will he still receive his DLA Payment do you know, and why is there a few days difference (4 weeks and a few days until his first PIP payment? ) bit confused.

Blue Badge Applied for and Free Car Tax Applied for.

Again a massive Thank you, my turn next to transfer!!!

Best Wishes x

Sweetheart

Congratulations on the award and well done and thank you for your comments.

I suspect that the date for your PIP payments is different from that for your DLA. You will get another DLA payment, it will either include the extra days or your first PIP one will. I'm afraid you will have to wait for the PIP to go into payment before you can check that you have received the right amount, but I don't know of anybody where they have got it wrong.
