Same letter!!! was created by Gareth56
Back in March I received the usual ESA uprating letter then oddly last week I received exactly the same letter but dated August. The only difference is that in the March letter it says:-
From 10 April 2017 the rates of some Social security benefits may change.
From 15 April 2017 your Employment and Support Allowance will be .............
However on the August letter it just says:-
From 15 April 2017 your Employment and Support Allowance will be .............
Any idea why the second letter in August??
Thanks

The original letter implied that claimants would be receiving a £10 increase to their payments in November, when in fact it is the Christmas Bonus payment and only payable for one week, so they have had to reissue the letter.

Looking at the original letter with respect to the Christmas Bonus it says:-
"Your circumstances mean you will qualify for a Christmas Bonus Payment. This will be paid the first week in December. The amount payable is £10."
This is the same as is on the August letter.

Can't comment, that's not what we saw reported by other members earlier in the year.
