PIP Review form was created by Orangeblossom
Just been looking at the guidance on completing the PIP Review form and it seems a good plan to send in up to date evidence as may be a chance the decision makers can use this to extend the award without need for sending to assessors etc. But they are unable to ask for more medical evidence themselves.

I am wondering what people do for this if they don't have much up to date info. i have a care plan which is due to be reviewed, and GP can give a printout of meds and conditions, Would that be thought enough? Or would also be a plan to pay for them to write a letter as well?

Any experience welcome.

I don't think that it is as simplistic as you think and we are seeing considerable variance in how the Review Form is treated.

You need to remember that the AR1 form will be reviewed in conjunction with your previous claim forms, most likely the PIP2 from your initial claim. Providing up to date evidence may by useful if your conditions have changed, but if they have not then it creates the possibility for there to be discrepancies between the original and the new evidence, making an assessment more likely.

Conversely, we have seen members who only ticked the "no change" box and did not supply any new evidence also asked to attend a face to face.

The bottom line is that it is not just a question of whether to source new evidence but also whether the new reports create more problems than they solve.

Yes, thank you that is helpful, I know this all too well as previously a decision makers saw a new consultation report as an improvement in my (incurable) condition, and took a simple 5 min follow up with a junior registrar where he described me as relatively asymptomatic, as a change in circs and had to appeal that (thankfully Appeals understood it better and overruled it but it was stressful)

I was not sure if it means from the start of the original application it means it has improved / stayed the same/ for worse or the last reassessment? Could you clarify for me please?

I think it was actually the guide from the CAB made it appear simplistic, rather than the one here. It implied if you have no change and provided something supporting to say thus, it may well just continue.

I just had news from ESA that staying in support group- would it be worth sending in the ESA85A I wonder and possibly ESA113 form from the GP? Do they often send out those PIP GP forms I wonder?

Also, do they refer back to the original claim and points raised, or the previous review (where they turned me down and had to appeal)

Sorry all the questions just looking to clarify and may help others also. It's a bit confusing. I'm also trying to get it right as got into a muddle last time with PIP review but that was another long claim form.

It appeared from a link I have this PIP Review form could possibly be filled in online, is that right or not?

Many thanks.

You can submit the ESA report but you must show it's relevance to the PIP activities although there are areas of overlap between the two benefits, the criteria still remains different.

They should be looking back at the previous review but obviously the appeal will complicate this, this process is far from robust and seems to encourage error.

Just printed off a copy of the sample form on here, and noticed it says on the front

"any changes since we last looked at your PIP claim"

so I suppose for me this means from the last review (the one I had to appeal). Appeals gave me points in less areas than before, but higher points in less areas. It's all quite confusing.
