Hi in July I was sent a back to work questionnaire which I filled out and sent back on time. My esa runs out January. My doctors want me to make an appointment as they have now been sent a questionair is this normal procedure. Thx.
The assessor's only contact the claimant's medics in around 25% of cases. Even then, only the same proportion of GPs actually return the forms
This is certainly nothing to worry about though - in fact, it gives you a chance to have some input into the GP form, which could be very much in your favour.
We often suggest that claimants print out the descriptors (removing the points) and either go through them with the GP or ask them to comment as they see fit. This is to help GPs understand that this is about more than simply saying 'Donna is not fit for work' and expecting that to be enough.
