backdated money dla to pip

backdated money dla to pip was created by Terri
My hubby dla runs out 2019 but his condition worsened so I called in beginning of March to report a change in circumstance they said I had to claim pip for him instead and sent me the form in March he did it got an award I asked for a MR which was upheld and his award in mobility went up to enhanced meaning they owe him some money but are only paying that from June 28th when they made there original PIP desicion surely it should be backdated to March when I first reported he was worse and started the claim or am I wrong ?

I'm afraid there is no backdating of a PIP award where there was a DLA claim In payment, even if it the award is the result of a Change of Circumstances.

Even if the award went up ? Surely that means he was entitled to the encreased award from date I informed them ? Otherwise they could take months to make desicions to avoid paying ppl the extra money ?
