DLA to pip decision was created by lild
I've had my DLA to pip letter re decision, standard daily living enhanced mobility, which is the same as DLA.
Im confused on one bit,
Washing if you need assistance which is 3 points
How is that not the same for dressing? (need assistance)
I have shoulder problems which she never asked much about.
Also washing descriptor, (cannot wash between shoulder and waist front or back) does that mean both or one of the above
Thanks

Lild

The three point score is for

e. Needs assistance to be able to get in or out of a bath or shower. 3 points.

So is not directly connected to any problems you would have with dressing and undressing.

Descriptor (f) reads

f. Needs assistance to be able to wash their body between the shoulders and waist. 4 points.

There is no reference to front of back, however, you should assume that you would need to have problems washing this area of the body, both front and back to score the points.

Thanks Gordon,
With unstable shoulder joints I have problems washing & dressing. I'm too afraid to have a mandatory Reconsideration in case I lose what I have

I'm afraid the only way for you to pursue the matter further is to request an MR.
