It's longer than we would expect I would chase the DWP for an update.

The latest message I got 2 weeks ago on the phone from DWP was " we haven't got the report back yet". I really am too terrified to be told any bad news on the phone! I had to leave the face 2 face prematurely after 40 minutes as I was so ill on the day but phoned DWP afterwards on the same day to explain .I had already sent a substantial amount of written evidence and had asked for a paper based review because of my illness. If they dismissed my claim altogether would they have told me before now? I was getting DLA High rate and Low mobility rate and after waiting 9 weeks after face 2 face I am still receiving my indefinite award of DLA into my bank account. Add this to the fact that I am a WASPI woman ,got my pension late [62 instead of 60] and was in receipt of State Pension when "invited "to transfer from DLA. I believe that there is an anomaly which the government overlooked as PIP was introduced as a "working age benefit" but there must be a few women who like me were retired receiving their pension but not 65 on the day that PIP was introduced . Can anyone enlighten me please. I will possibly pluck up the courage to phone them soon but my health is so bad and if they wait to dismiss my claim altogether I will be 65 in 5 weeks time and I can't claim PIP then . Please help ?

I am concerned that the DWP are still waiting for the report 7 weeks after the assessment it should be with them within a couple of days, I'm afraid the only way to know what is going on is to contact the DWP again.
PIP is no more a working age benefit than DLA, both benefits currently have the same restrictions on age. The only criteria that is used for deciding whether a DLA claimant will be invited to claim PIP or not is whether they were under the age of 65 on 8 April 2013 (UK mainland).

As no PIP award is in payment, would it be possible to make a new claim for PIP as insurance due to the nearing age cut of point ? and then withdraw if the current claim is awarded ?
