ESA50 supporting evidence query was created by Jeli
Hi there - I managed to send my ESA50 in just on time last week. I wrote in it that I was hoping to send in supporting evidence by end of september from my GP and my therapist, both of whom had said the would be happy to. The Benefits & Work ESA guide says it's a good idea to send in supporting letters etc. But I've noticed on the ESA form itself it says send us copies of medical or other information you already have but (in bold type) DON'T pay or ask for new information.
The publication date on the ESA50 form is 04/17. Just wondering if something has changed since the March 17 version of the Benefits & Work guide was published? If someone could clarify that would be great, I'm not sure what to do next. Thank you for everything.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
It's your claim and you can send whatever information that you think is relevant. That said I would urge caution in your paying for a report, from your GP for example, make sure that you understand exactly what you will be getting and whether this will be helpful or not, we too often hear of GP's charging for letters that add little if anything to the claimants evidence.
