Pip tribunal was created by A4H2009
hi
This is my 1st time on here and don't even know who's going to get it so pls bare with me. I'm desperate to get some answers regarding my pip tribunal that has been going on over a year now. I got a letter off judge saying they have accepted all my illnesses but they just have a conflict about my f2f interview as I told tribunal that assessor lied and twisted all my words so I got a letter'off judge telling me I had to turn up in person for my appeal instead of a paper hearing.
I wrote a letter to judge to tell him I can't go to tribunal because I am an extremely violent person and kick off at the drop of a hat and that I knew I wouldn't stand for the lies and I swear like a trooper and knew that I would of got so angry at the judge that I would of got an automatic fail on my pip. (I've begged the mental health team to take me on but they won't because they fear for the staff's safety. anyway I've now been told that I will have to have a phone hearing and I want to know if anybody can give me any advice on what i am to expect with this phone hearing and what is the percentage of
winning with a phone hearing. I don't know who is going to read this and don't even know how to get any replies off all on
here. my email address is [email removed] pls get bk to me asap on this matter. thanks

I'm afraid we cannot respond via an email address.

Have a look at the following video for an understanding of what an appeal is like, it's staged and for ESA but a PIP hearing should not be significantly different.

MOJ Video of ESA Appeals Process and Tribunal

A PIP panel will have a Judge or Solicitor acting as one, a doctor and a disability person.

Most of the questions tend to come from the doctor and then the disability person.

They will be asking you about the problems that you have with doing the PIP activities, what causes those problems and how manage or not.

There will be a lot of questions but it should be conversational rather than inquisition that you would expect if this was for example a criminal court of law.

Take your time to answer and try and think about what is being asked.

You will be given some time at the end of the hearing to cover any points that you want so it may help if you make a list of the things that you would like to cover.

If you have any more questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
