just wanted to say that I was awarded esa dated 2 days after my medical.however wasn't put in a group until apx 12 weeks later. but wasn't put into a group until 12 weeks later but still count the time awarded from the date of medical. this meant 18 month award counted later on .medical was done in april and only counted until next November, as a result only on support group for 16 months. convienent or what. during my wait had a letter reg hubbies council tax being suspended due to a change in circumstances. still unclear if income support is affected due to an increase as was on sda beforehand. also husband had a home medical for pip, when they arrived they said it was useful for her as she lived in the same town.as we live in a small town was not sure if that was ok.when he saw the doctor a week later she said that should never happen, if we have any problems reg the decision she will help us with a letter for any poss appeal.

ESA awards are not made for a specific time, the DWP can reassess a claimant at time once three months have elapsed from a Decision being made.
I know of no restrictions on an assessor being from the same town as the claimant, if they knew you or your husband then that would be different but you do not suggest that this is the case.
