AR1 form and mobility changes was created by Kk
My daughter has received the AR1 form for Pip. She was awarded enhanced rate daily living and standard rate mobility 2 years ago after being in receipt of DLA. She suffers from Adhd, anaemia and irritable bowel syndrome. She only suffered from Adhd at the time of her last claim.
I'm hopeful that she will still be entitled to enhanced care as her needs if anything have got worse.
I noticed the mobility part has changed and wondered if anyone has any advice as to what she should do. Is it possible to still receive standard mobility with her conditions and needs? Does the moving around part including falls/trips...she can physically walk but because of the Adhd she falls/trips a lot.
I'd be so grateful for any advice.
Many thanks

Providing you can show that she meets the criteria then it is still possible to receive the Standard rate of Mobility and the Enhanced rate if you can also show that she has problems with walking.
Any walking that she does must be done reliably, If she trips and falls then it should be possible to argue that she cannot walk to a necessary standard, there may be other issues that you can also include under this heading, have a look at the PIP Claim guide for more information.

If she falls then there would be issues of safety if she is liable to injuring herself. The time taken for her to stand up again would be considered as part of the time taken to complete the distance, so can it be done in a reasonable time. Lastly any distance she walks must be repeatable within a reasonable timescale.
