Hi, I got the Health Professionals report late, so been a rush to get everything together. I need to get it in the post by Friday otherwise I will be over the month to ask for a mandatory reconsideration. I am waiting for my Drs letter of support, but don't think I will have it in time. I don't want to mention it in my original letter to PIP just in case it doesn't support me enough and I am unable to use it. If I don't mention it now, can i still submit it later, hopefully I will have it next week.

Hi Fp,

In your position, I would get the MR request submitted, explain that it has been rushed because the assessor's report was late arriving and state that you will send in further information soon. DWP should allow you some extra time to do this.

Thanks, I'm just worried that if I say i will be sending in extra information, but then find it unsuitable and don't use it, that it makes me look like i couldn't get any further evidence and weakends my request. Sorry, I'm a bit of a worrier.

It's up to you - there is a chance that the DM will not get round to looking at your file straight away. On the other hand, we have heard from members who have had the MR result through in a few days!

If you don't say that your are thinking of sending the report then they may well make a Decision on your MR before you have time to send it, saying that you will be sending more information and then not doing so, will not count against you, but obviously will not help either.
