Totally agree, Michael. Before I contacted my MP though, I would ask for an explanation, at what level the comment was written, and by whom. This was obviously not intended for the claimant to read. Then I would ask my MP to intervene. Make some copies of the page. Another example of the contempt these people have for the disabled.

I would be going to the newspapers with this, this is actually scandalous. I'd be making a great big stink about this. You were obviously not meant to see that writing.

Peter,

I fully agree, the person was not meant to see it.

What an awful thing to read on a report, whatever the intention or implication.

I have read some harrowing stories in the last couple of years, but this has truly shocked me.

As previously stated, don't normally comment on other people's post, but really felt the need to support the writer of the post.

Regards Michael

Soon,
This should be publicised, maybe on twitter. What's your own view on it ?

was this for ESA? The term light touch is sometimes used by work coaches for those who have work related activity and it means that they do very little with them as far as work related activity is concerned, they mostly do the odd telephone call but nothing more. It's the only thing I can think of in relation to benefits

Personally, I would bring it to the tribunal's attention and if a Presenting Officer turns up to the appeal hearing ask for an explanation. It sounds offensive to me and the tribunal may be interested as well.
