Thanks Gordon.....

After taking your advice, I started to call the Tribunal Service ASAP, and have been unable to get through to them, despite waiting over 20 Minutes sometimes, which was VERY frustrating....

Anyway, just manged to get through after just 15 Minutes today, and was a bit shocked to hear, its going to be a MINIMUM of 26 Weeks from today. I had to ask again to make sure I heard him rightly TBH.....

However, now I know that, it could be a bonus that I can get a LOT more important Medical Information off to them by the time we get a Hearing, and win the case with that.....

Lets hope that we can survive on the mere pittance we are getting from the DWP nowdays until then though, as its not been easy since our income has dropped drastically, since our DLA went over to this new rate P.I.P. benefit, back in May this Year.......

I'm genuinely surprised that wait times are that long, your only other option is to write to the TS explaining that you are in financial distress due to the wait, you'll have to explain why and of course you may not be the only person doing this.

It may not work, but it is worth a try.

Very Interesting to read that there Mrs Hurtyback.......and its given me an idea....

After finding out yesterday, that the wait for us to get a date for our Tribunal Hearing is a MINIMUM of 26 weeks, which is ridiculous. I have decided that after my Wife's last appt: for a while in late October, I am going to compile a large file of new Medical Information, and a thorough covering letter explaining ALL her problems, and send it off to the Tribunal, and that they will then send it off to the DWP, and HOPEFULLY they will then change their decision of P.I.P. to what we believe is correct benefit award, without us having to go to the Tribunal, as my Wife is dreading it TBH.......after already having suffered 2 W.C. A. and 1 P.I.P. assessment already.....

Fingers Crossed, Eh Folks......

Well Folks.......

I have just a letter from the Tribunal Service to tell us we have a date in the last week of March, and if I have any additional material to send off, it must be there 7 Days before the hearing.......

Looks like the 30 pages of my Wife's Disability and Medical Problems I sent in recently fell on deaf ears......Also found out recently that NO one from the DWP has ever been in touch with our Doctors Surgery..OR... the Specialists that are treating my Wife for MANY complications.......Anybody else had this farcial situation when going to appeal.....Have to admit my Wife is now terrified of going before a Tribunal of people to find out if she really is ill or not......How the Hell, did we get to this....When did it almost become a Crime to be disabled.........Not sure if I will be able to keep calm, if these people subject my Wife to an other" Interrogation " like Capita did.......

I'm afraid those assessing us rarely contact the people we list on our forms

If you want an idea of what a hearing is like have a look at the following, it's for ESA but there won't be any significant difference other than the panel having three members and obviously the criteria being looked at.

MOJ Video of ESA Appeals Process and Tribunal

Thank You Gordon.......

I must admit, I think I am in a state of total amazement, at the level of documentation that I have sent in to the DWP in the last Year , I checked earlier in case I had missed something and, believe it not...its 300 pages of information I have submitted now, and the Tribunal has asked me to take this with us to the appeal ( Its the File they sent to me earlier this Year ).........Is this normal.....and surely they cannot have enough time to read this before we sit down and argue our case.......any further help or advice would be appreciated........Thank You........
